Should be sleeping but instead rewatching episode 1 of Dexter Season 1 while juggling any and every task that can be completed late at night around the house…which is quite a lot of them, you’d be surprised!
In episode 1, Sgt. James Doakes, an African-American police detective who later uncovers that Dexter (who has always given him the creeps) is not just a blood splatter analyst by day but also a serial killer who hunts serial killers by night, walks into Dexter’s cubicle at the precinct and the following hilarious conversation ensues:
Dexter: “Is there something I can…[help you with]?”
Doakes: “Yeah, you can help me! You can get me the f#$@ing blood splatter analysis on these killings. You think I’m here to invite you to my nephew’s bris?”
Dexter, a psychopath who rarely shows facial expressions, looks surprised and says, “I didn’t know you were Jewish!”
