The only good thing (well, one of) that came out of a furious back and forth dialogue regarding a post of mine that made it over to the Frum Satire blog: “Sighting the Black Jew” was this story:

My (Afro-Chinese) wife recounts something that happened to her on the bus a while back. A young (Black) man was talking loudly on the phone. Every other word was “Nigga” this and “Nigga” that. An older Black man directly in front of her went from discomfort to disgust to serious anger, but he was too polite to say anything.

Finally another young Black man turned around and said “If you don’t stop saying ‘Nigga’ someone’s going to come over and Nigga your ass.”

Loud applause from all, Black and White alike. The caller apologized to everyone – especially the older gentleman – and said it was a bad habit he needed to break.
