So, even though we experienced some technical difficulties with our tickets (Arona and my sister Belle had printed tickets with no barcodes), we all managed to make it to HP in Harlem–with the exception of Aaron who bailed last minute as did Laura and Mike (sad!). In the end, the two boys we thought were coming were replaced by Tim and Yehuda (who got in a little late so had to sit on the, hopefully, comfortable steps).
The film was like a fantastic fireworks display. I did get mighty teary-eyed at the death of Cedric. Meanwhile, it was action-packed…almost TOO action-packed. I did enjoy the film but I was hoping for the same style that the last movie had thanks to Cuaron. Oh well, Dumbledore was decent but not-so-great. All in all, the most fun part of the film was watching it with all my friends, especially my little sister who oohed and ahhed and gripped her arm rest with me through the most thrilling scenes.
It’s almost 3am and I have tons of grading to do and I just finished wrestling the kitten Justice League down to brush their teeth. Clark Kent enjoyed a fun Shabbos where he was coddled in Washington Heights by Hinda, Amy, Devora, Chaia, ARONA!! (sorry I forgot you before!!!!) and he even met Yaakov Green. Ahem, who SOMEONE better have called to discuss matters of friendship.
P.S. The sneak preview of Superman Returns sucked. LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Still I was so excited about their being a previewing, I almost spontaneously combusted on site.) I am not a comic book geek (much).

It was awesome spending Shabbos with you! And I TOTALLY won with the “where are we eating dinner” thing! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Enjoy the grading.

nihilistic kid (at livejournal) called that trailer Jesus Christ, Superman.>>I just discovered that the dude in the leather jacket in the Harry Potter movie (the junior sent to ashkeban) was David Tennant who is going to be in the new Doctor Who – well he was already in the new Doctor Who at the end of the last season as Christopher Eccleston’s replacement for the Doctor – meaning that he has fulfilled his obligation to prove himself as a psychopath and now he can play teh Doctor as we all know and love him (ie. Tom Baker’s long scarved and totally unhinged performance in the 1970s)>>It was a tough movie to do well since it is the best book in the series.

By the time I got there the movie was sold out and the saleswoman refused to sell me a ticket for the 8:30 show…. Of course I begged and pleaded and then proceeded to badger and scold. She probably thought I was crazy being that I was at least a half hour late by that point. So I did the next best thing, I bought a ticket for the 9:30 performance and snuck into the 8:30 show. >>p.s. >Tim, I lost your email for the second consecutive time. Please kindly email me at martinleonking@yahoo.com >>(junkmail people beware: this is not my regular email so you will achieve nothing by sending me advertisements for hair spray, alzheimer medication, or used airplane parts)

Yehuda we need to get your more practice on the subway. Jesus Christ, Superman…yea, that’s one way of putting it. Aaron is too depressed to notice that he’s making your life miserable, Arona. Hinda, a pleasure, as always, but enjoying grading?

Yehuda – talking to spammer robots won’t help you. Anyhow mine is omanlieder_at_yahoo.>>And according to The Sociopath Next Door, one of the ways to determine if someone is just playing games with you is how much he’s trying to get you to feel sorry for him.

Well yeah. I mean the spammer robot isn’t really going to be able to mail anything to tim_at_yahoo. – not the way they would be able to find sschachtman@steven-scott.com or hretterath@steven-scott.com (old landlords – feel free to post their addresses to every guest book you can find. I am a vindictive petty man)
