This is how we do it…

Every Friday evening, the Nunez family sits down to a traditional religious dinner.

Moshe Nunez and his family moved to Crown Heights, a New York neighborhood with thousands of Hasidic Jews.

1 of 2 Like most families in their Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, their Jewish Sabbath meal includes blessings over the wine and bread, the company of family and friends and excellent food.

But for the Nunez family, the Sabbath table would not be complete without salsa picada and jalapeno dip.

  1. Sad that once these family has “made it” in the Jewish fold, they spend their time teaching “Noachidism” which is Chabad´s way of keeping out converts and other undesirables.

  2. All of the converts I've spoken to, with the exception of one, had very good experiences with Chabadniks. Chabadniks were nothing but helpful to them during the conversion process.

As for teaching Noachidism seems like a safe alternative that still allows you to eat pork. If Noachidism were as fully formed (community, synagogues, etc) as Judaism, I think we would have many more non-Jews considering it. As it is, most non-Jews don't even know it exists.
